The Hertz Employee Relief Fund assists employees who are experiencing serious financial hardship and are unable to afford housing, utilities and other basic living expenses due to a natural disaster; life-threatening illness or injury; death; or other catastrophic or extreme circumstances beyond the employee’s control. The fund and grants are administered and managed by a third-party, nonprofit charitable organization to ensure applicant anonymity and provide experienced support.

Even in the best of times, unexpected things can occur that impact our lives: Life altering emergencies, like a house fire, accident, or sudden illness in the family. Natural disasters that leave us homeless. A death in the family or other personal tragedy that puts a strain on personal finances. The purpose of the Hertz Employee Relief Fund is to help fellow co-workers with short-term financial assistance during unexpected hardships and emergencies. The Emergency Assistance Foundation, Inc. will manage all fund activities, and when needed assist applicants with their grant applications. Hertz Corporation will not have any insight into the grant process unless a grant recipient chooses to share his or her story.
